This is a Part Time Job

Independent record label based in Silver Lake seeks to fill in-house part time employee position (30 hours per week estimated) with the following duties:
o Mechanical Licensing
o Obtaining sync licenses for our recordings for use in videos
o Publishing administration work
o Working with an in-place team on sync requests that come in from third parties who wish to use our masters and compositions in TV shows, films and commercials, and to proactively pitch our catalog for sync use placements
o Sheet music licensing
o Working with third parties whose products and merchandise are made under license from our company
Requirements:
o Ability to excel as a representative of our company
o To be able to handle complex negotiations, including careful oversight of all legal agreements involved
o Experience working at or with music publishers, major or otherwise
Pluses:
o Relationships with the sync departments of music publishers
o Previous experience with a record label
o Previous experience and/or relationships with artist management firms
o Experience using royalty software
