This full-time position offers the opportunity for a self-motivated and ambitious individual to develop mastery over all aspects of the talent representation field, working closely with and providing support to a seasoned team of agents representing an elite roster of actors and directors. This role is on a track to become a franchised agent with additional experience. In this boutique office, all members participate in all aspects of the business, from the strategic to the execution.
This is a hybrid position; we are in our midtown Manhattan office at least 2 days/week.
Who are you:
An early-mid career professional with 1-2 years of experience at a talent agency or management office. You must be someone who loves to be busy and has a strong passion for working with creatives. Someone who is driven, innovative, ambitious, resourceful, detail-oriented, and committed.
Responsibilities:
-Managing and growing a roster of theatrical talent.
-Maintaining and expanding relationships with legit/theatrical casting directors and studios.
-Signing, reviewing, editing, and negotiating a high volume of industry contracts.
-Pitching and submitting to breakdowns and under the supervision of head agents.
-Daily audition management for our roster of talent with a strong emphasis on professional and timely communication between clients and casting directors, producers, and internal administrative staff.
-General office support including but not limited to, taking/answering calls, electronically filing documents, and database management.
Requirements:
-1-2 years of experience working in a theatrical talent agency or talent management firm.
-Extensive interpersonal interaction; especially via phone, e-mail, and zoom.
-Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals at all levels of an organization.
-Proficient in business writing with a sharp editorial eye and advanced command of grammar and spelling.
-Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
-Able to thrive in a high-pressure environment, efficiently balancing competing tasks and deadlines with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
-In-depth understanding of the development process in the theatrical industry, with a strong desire to stay informed about the evolving industry landscape.
-Hands-on experience with Breakdown Services for talent submissions and bookings.
-Familiarity with AEA and SAG-AFTRA contracts and policies, with a solid understanding of union regulations.
-Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, with a high degree of technical fluency.
-Comfortable using basic online file-sharing tools, including WeTransfer and Google Drive.
-Not currently pursuing a career as a professional performer or aspiring to be one.
-Based in or willing to relocate to New York City (please note: no relocation stipend is available).
