Small, busy PR agency needs a full-time junior publicist. The ideal candidate has experience with both festival and theatrical release campaigns as well as awards campaigns. A great opportunity for an assistant or coordinator in a studio or agency who is looking for the next step.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Execute publicity campaigns for film festivals and theatrical releases
• Plan and spearhead press events
• Pitch and place stories with broadcast, print, radio and online press
• Secure asset premieres (trailers, clips, exclusive content, etc)
• Consult on awards campaigns
• Create e-mail blasts and help maintain the master press database
• Tracking of all media coverage
• Keeping client reports cohesive and up-to-date
Required Experience and Skills:
• 2 years of experience in either an agency or studio setting
• Detail oriented and extremely organized
• Strong writer, editor, and proofreader
• Willing to work events evenings and weekend as needed
• Passion for documentary, foreign language and independent films is a must
