Junior Editor / Asst Editor for Feature Film Previs

SEEKING JUNIOR EDITOR / ASSISTANT EDITOR - FEATURE FILM PREVIS

Director Lin Oeding (Braven, Cobra Kai, Reacher, Warrior) is looking for a talented, motivated Junior Editor / Assistant Editor to work directly with him editing a feature-length previs for an upcoming self-financed independent feature film.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an early-career editor who wants to move beyond traditional assistant duties and gain real experience cutting a feature-length narrative film alongside a working director.

Looking for someone with strong storytelling instincts, technical ability, speed and a strong, genuine desire to learn. Recent film-school graduates and emerging editors are encouraged to apply.

Requirements / Duties:
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Building assemblies and incorporating director notes
• Participating in test screenings and making revisions to the previs per focus-group feedback
• Maintaining clean, organized projects, bins and timelines
• Understanding and setting up remote workflows (frameio, etc)

There is potential for this role to continue as the feature's editor or as part of the editorial team. The editor may also have opportunities to cut action previs for studio projects Lin is currently designing action for.

Location: Los Angeles production office (Hollywood Area / Runyon Canyon)
Duration: Mid-October through mid-February (possibly longer)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours/week
Genre/Script: Crime/heist screenplay written by a veteran showrunner

Please include experience with any other editing, post-production, previs or emerging image/video programs, as well as additional skills such as sound design, VFX, scoring, etc.
