This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
The We:
We are a new and growing independent production company represented by the United Talent Agency. We create and produce prime time, unscripted TV shows for the likes of Discovery, Food, Bravo, History, HGTV, and Animal Planet, among others.
The Internship:
We seek Fall interns for our Development and Content team (aka, the unicorn division). You will work directly with producers to undertake a variety of missions: writing, editing, idea-having, researching, participating in creative meetings, busting international spy rings, and adding your electricity to the synaptic firings of our collective creative brain. Due to Covid-19, the internship will take place remotely, though we hope to return to our NY offices in the near future, where we shepherd projects from concept to commission. Note: this is an unpaid internship designed to further the student's media education and provide hands-on experience. Candidates must be matriculating. Students needing an internship for college credit are encouraged to apply. You will not be doing menial tasks like filing papers, fetching coffee, and making photocopies. But you will be up close to the production action. Former interns have had the most meaningful experience when able to commit to a minimum 3 days/week.
The You:
Intelligent, enterprising, creative, curious, communicative. Have a broad palette of interests, a feel for entertainment, a nose for character and story. You don't need to be a film & TV major. You need not have a formal background in media or production. It won't hurt if you know some basic editing software skills (Premiere, Avid, etc). But if you don't know how those work, this is a good place to try them out. It's vital that you can write, research, troubleshoot and believe in the creative process.
