Don Diva Magazine is a nationally distributed urban lifestyle publication. We began in 1999 and continue to sell 1.2 Millions copies a year. This is a great opportunity for the candidate who has an interest in hip hop culture. Our Social Media/Content Developer internship is for someone interested in developing her/his marketing career and portfolio.
National Applicants Welcome - Telecommute Internship. This is an unpaid internship, however, it will provide you with invaluable experience in the magazine and entertainment industries. Many of our interns in the past have gone on to work for major record labels, famous moguls, and other notable magazines. This may also be used towards college credits.
Estimated weekly hours are 10 hours per week, unless you have more time than that! Schedule is flexible, and you can write the posts when works for you. Minimum 3-month commitment
Benefits:
• Intern will work remotely, on his/her own computer
• Create a portfolio of your published work
• Network with major entertainment professionals and celebrities
• Expand and increased credibility of your Rolodex
• You'll learn WordPress, about the blogging culture and a bit about social media from someone
knowledgeable!
Responsibilities
• Come up with topic ideas for blog posts
• Conduct research for blog posts, including reading other blogs, interviews, asking questions on
Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn
• Write a minimum of 2 blog posts per day for posting on our website and as guest posts on other
websites
• Work with other website owners to determine timing and content for guest blog posts
• Comment on other blog posts to increase our visibility
• Other projects as needed
Qualifications:
• Passionate about blogging and writing
• An understanding of Hip Hop and Urban culture
• Friendly and conversational
• Must be a good writer, team player and technologically savvy
• Fast Learner
