We are two emerging music artists in the alt-pop and indie pop genres, and we are seeking a talented and driven Social Media & Marketing Intern to help us achieve their goals. Job Description:
As a Social Media & Marketing Intern, you will play a pivotal role in building the online presence and fan engagement. You'll work closely with our team to develop and execute social media strategies, create engaging content, and assist in various marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Create, schedule, and publish compelling content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) to grow our artists' online presence.
- Monitor and engage with fans and followers, fostering a sense of community around our artists.
- Analyze social media metrics to track growth and identify areas for improvement.
Content Creation:
- Collaborate with the artists to generate engaging content, including photos, videos, graphics, and stories.
- Stay updated on industry trends and adapt content strategies accordingly.
Marketing Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including album releases, music videos, and live performances.
- Research and identify potential partnerships and promotional opportunities within the music industry.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Compile and analyze data related to social media performance and audience engagement.
- Prepare regular reports and provide insights to guide future strategies.
Event Coordination:
- Help coordinate and promote live performances, virtual events, and interviews.
- Collaborate with venues and event organizers to ensure successful promotion.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Music Business).
- Passion for music and a good understanding of the music industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Track record of running social media campaigns and growing accounts.
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to think outside the box.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving industry.
- Experience with graphic design and video editing is a plus.
