The We:
We are an edgy, established, independent production company specializing in reality and documentary television.
The Gig:
We seek interns for our Research & Development team. You will report directly to Executive Producers and undertake a variety of learning missions: casting, writing, editing, idea-having, research, participating in creative meetings, local shoots, busting international spy rings, and bringing the all-important electricity to the synaptic firings of our collective creative brain. The internship will take place largely in our Dumbo offices, where our creative team shepherds projects from concept to commission. Note: this is an unpaid internship designed to further the intern's media education and provide hands-on experience. We wholeheartedly welcome those seeking an opportunity for college credit or pursuing a supervised practicum.
The You:
Intelligent, enterprising, creative, curious, communicative. Have a broad palette of interests, a feel for entertainment, a nose for character and story. You need not have a formal background in media or production, but it won't hurt if you know some basic editing software skills (Avid, Final Cut, Premiere, etc). It's vital that you can write, research, troubleshoot and excise the word ''can't'' from your vocabulary (at least during office hours).
