Are you interested in learning the business of show business - PRODUCTION - as a Production Assistant? Well the Hollywood Backdoor Alliance United (HBAu, a 501c3 nonprofit organization), in conjunction with BDP Entertainment Group (BDPEG, a digital media, marketing & entertainment production company), are taking submission for our nearly 20 year old internship/training program for the coming semester (winter/spring).
To be considered for our Hollywood Production Assistant program (HPAp) you should answer Yes, to at least one of the following:
1) interested in a career in the entertainment industry
2) enrolled in school (high school or college) or a recent graduate,
3) in the Southern California area during the first semester of internship,
4) able to complete most of our training online, meaning you must have access to a reliable internet connection.
Next, if you're interested in training in one of the following areas:
(1) Communications (social media/pr/media, promotions team)
(2) Post Production (audio/video editing, etc.)
(3) Tech/web and/or graphics design (storyboarding, logos, etc.)
(4) Business/financial/corporate relations (administrative)
(5) Nonprofit & grant writing (experience with NP matters preferred)
We would love to meet with you to further discuss our training program. No previous experience needed, unless specified above.
Before applying, be sure you understand that our HollywoodPA program is a REMOTE internship, for the most part, which means it can be completed from anywhere in the world (quite literally), via your computer or smart device. There may be some in-person meetings or shoots throughout the internship but there will be advance notice and it may not be mandatory for everyone to attend.
This internship is: unpaid during the first semester
Internship Start Date/Season: winter/spring 2023
Internship Duration: Semester long - but 3 semesters may be completed for a certificate
