Seeking an ambitious person looking to learn and grow starting with an unpaid internship. Working directly with the Head of Sales. This opportunity offers a glimpse into Film Development, Production, Sales, Financing, Acquisitions, Post Production, Delivery and the world of Film Festivals.
Have you ever wondered how independent movies are developed, made, bought and sold? What goes on at the film markets like Cannes, Berlin, AFM, or Toronto around the world? What types of stories and scripts are being sold in the industry today? How is digital distribution faring in the world of the Corona-Virus? If such questions intrigue you, this internship may be a perfect fit. Duties will include, but are not limited to, writing coverage, film festival tracking, administrative tasks, seeking films to acquire for sales and participating in brain-storming sessions to procure new projects. All assignments and internship work would be conducted on a work-from-home basis as this is a remote internship -- at least for the time being with Covid still in full swing. We are able to provide academic credit.
Position Requirements:
Strong oral, written, and communication skills.
Strong familiarity with MS Office. (strong familiarity with Excel not required, but preferred.)
Punctual delivery of work product
Ambition and eagerness to learn
A positive attitude
Ability to grow
Sense of humor
