Live Event Production Intern needed for production company that specializes in producing live events at the intersection of entertainment and social change.
Ideally this candidate would work a minimum of 2 -3 days each week (6 - 8 hours each day) in September 2019 - January 2019. Candidates must be proactive, willing to take initiative, organized, ambitious, detail oriented and computer savvy. Candidates need to be meticulous and driven.
Qualified candidates should have the following characteristics:
- Knowledgeable and passionate about event production/planning
- Excellent project management, problem-solving and research skills
- Unique balance of disciplined strategic thinking, creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on
- Must be internet savvy and have experience using Microsoft office (Word, PPT, Excel) and Google Docs
- Bonus if you have worked with large databases maintaining information
- Experience with Canva, Squarespace and Mailchimp
- Experience with social media sites, specifically Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (additional knowledge of other channels a plus)
- Understand the purpose of social media for businesses
Responsibilities are:
- Assisting and supporting in all aspects of event production
- Providing administrative support & maintain vendor, sponsor and press databases
- Provide support with managing operations systems including registration platforms, events websites, marketing emails, and more
- Routing information and approvals between internal and external contacts
- Be an active participant in idea generation, brainstorms, and creative ideation on events
Must be a current student or recent graduate.
Salary: Stipend/College Credit provided
