We're looking for a curious, entrepreneurial-minded CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Scout Analyst Intern based in or around Los Angeles to join our growing team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with a top-tier investor, brand builder, and startup advisor at the intersection of emerging trends, consumer brands, and innovation. You'll be deeply involved in scouting early-stage CPG brands (beverage, wellness, food, and lifestyle), analyzing consumer behavior trends, and supporting decision-making around product partnerships and investments.
This is an unpaid internship best suited for someone eager to break into startups, venture capital, CPG marketing, or brand strategy.
- ? Responsibilities:
-Identify and monitor up-and-coming CPG startups (beverage, wellness, food, DTC) using platforms like LinkedIn, Product Hunt, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon, and Expo West exhibitors
-Compile weekly scouting reports on emerging brands and notable product launches
-Track consumer trend data (e.g., functional ingredients, packaging innovation, eco-friendly branding)
-Assist in vetting potential brand partners for pilot programs, influencer campaigns, or retail sampling
-Maintain internal databases of CPG startups, investor decks, and competitive analyses
-Support research and due diligence for early-stage investment opportunities or collaborations
-Help prepare trend reports, pitch decks, and presentations for internal meetings
-Occasionally assist with sampling logistics, retail visit observations, or founder outreach
- Requirements:
-Based in Los Angeles (hybrid office preferred)
-Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or related fields
-Deep interest in startups, brand building, and consumer behavior
-Active user of discovery platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Expo West, Trend Hunter, or similar
-Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills
-Self-starter with a bias for action and curiosity
-Comfortable working independently and reporting on findings
