HEAD OF PRODUCTION
High profile production company seeks an experienced production executive to oversee all aspects of its physical production activities. Projects include traditional broadcast commercials, scripted and non-scripted content, short films, and feature-length film/documentaries. Production company works with 'A-list' directing talent, advertising agencies, talent agencies, and global brands. The position is based at our Los Angeles headquarters. The head of production reports directly and works closely with company's Executive Producers.
Ideal candidate has natural people skills, effective communicator, organized and can handle deadlines.
EXECUTIVE IN CHARGE
Develop, manage, and approve budgets and deliver schedules for all projects.
Work with clients, directors, colleagues, and unions to oversee the execution of all productions.
Oversee production teams for individual projects.
Negotiate client, vendor, and third-party rights agreements.
Negotiate and execute talent agency agreements for key crew.
Review and approve all production-related expenses and payroll.
Enforce union protocol, COVID guidelines, and all required safety protocol and best-practices.
Oversee and approve the production manual for individual productions.
Oversee jobs through production and wrap (review insurance, timecards, actuals, overages etc)
EXPERIENCE.
5+ years production experience. 3+ years in a management role in film, television, new media or commercials.
Extensive production management experience, including expert scheduling and budgeting ability; with strong attention to detail
Must be able to generate high-quality material in a fast-paced environment; manage multiple projects at once and flexibly respond to rapidly changing priorities in order to meet the dynamics of a competitive marketplace.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to keep colleagues informed in a timely manner.
