In this newly established role, the Head of Production oversees the production of all projects from implementation through completion. This includes, working alongside the Head of Content to execute new projects (both internal and with external partners), assigning projects to senior producers for execution, developing and creating budgets with oversight from the COO, overseeing the hiring, training, and development of production teams, creating and implementing project management systems and workflows to allow for efficiencies across the organization.
Additionally, this role works closely with the Head of Content and the executive team to reach more people in more ways and more places. They do this by overseeing the production of new projects, working with new platforms, on new and existing partners. They also work in conjunction with the Head of Content and the executive team to vet potential funders and work to bring these projects to fruition.
They manage team members, provide production expertise, and help identify and work through any inefficiencies to ensure production runs smoothly, within budget, and according to our mission, vision, and values from initial pitch through final delivery and analysis.
Job Duties:
• Establishes production standards that are consistent with our mission, vision, and values for all new and existing projects in conjunction with the HOC and executive team.
• Ensures Company's production and content teams uphold our voice and standards in all projects and deliverables by: creating standards for all production teams, training managers on those standards, and updating standards and training as needed.
• Creates budgets for internal and external projects with oversight by COO and trains all Senior Producers on how to create and manage their own individual project budgets.
• Streamlines workflows across projects by identifying inefficiencies and working with senior producers and additional team members to implement changes that keep the systems running efficiently, ultimately ensuring that production levels are of high and of consistent quality.
• Oversees the training and development of five direct reports with potential for additional direct reports in the future in conjunction with HR: conducting regular 1 on 1 meetings, utilizing individual development plans, and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring, ensuring senior staff are doing the same across all team members.
• Oversees independent contractor relationships including hosts, writers, and consultants. Works in conjunction with content, production, and administrative teams on recruitment, contract negotiations, and performance issues.
• Establish and implement clear procedures around scheduling, and planning across projects to ensure smooth production of episodes and deliverables.

Qualifications:
• 8-10 years of previous experience in the production industry, preferably in senior leadership roles with at least 5-6 years in digital production and or streaming platforms.
• Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate across multiple mediums with ease.
• Ability to navigate challenging situations with poise, including understanding the impact of their actions on others.
• Self-awareness and self-management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand action items and direct a project through to completion.
• Previous management experience required
Role can be remote, but prefer candidate be based in LA, NY or ATL
