Small, busy PR agency needs a full-time film publicist heading into the 2019-2020 awards season. The ideal candidate has experience with leading festival and theatrical release campaigns and consulting on awards campaigns; the perfect candidate has experience in the documentary, below the line, and foreign language film spaces, as well as social media PR experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Create and execute publicity campaigns for film festivals and theatrical releases
• Plan and spearhead press events
• Pitch and place stories with broadcast, print, radio and online press
• Secure asset premieres (trailers, clips, exclusive content, etc)
• Consult on awards campaigns
• Create e-mail blasts and help maintain the master press database
• Tracking of all media coverage
• Keeping client reports cohesive and up-to-date
Required Experience and Skills:
• 3 years of experience in either an agency or studio setting
• Detail oriented and extremely organized
• Strong writer, editor, and proofreader
• Willing to work events evenings and weekend as needed
• Passion for documentary, foreign language and independent films is a must
