''Plant Baby'' is a captivating short film that follows Jake, a recovering drug addict, on his journey to recovery. Carrying a baby plant with him, Jake believes that by nurturing it, he will also learn to care for himself. The film explores themes of addiction, recovery, and the power of hope, incorporating a unique blend of magical realism, drama, and comedy.

Role Description:
We are seeking a Film Distributor / Post-Production Producer to assist us in managing the festival distribution strategy, write-ups, and securing broad exposure for our short film, ''Plant Baby.'' We are OPEN to individuals with different skill levels and experiences, and welcome those who may have no track record and want to learn alongside us during this process. If you have a strong track record and are familiar with the festival circuit, we would appreciate your mentorship and expertise as part of our team. We are looking for passionate individuals who want to witness the growth of this project on festival screens.

Responsibilities (Flexible, depending on your capabilities):
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute a festival distribution strategy that aligns with the film's vision and goals.
• Create compelling write-ups, synopses, and marketing materials to generate interest and attract festival programmers, industry professionals, and audiences.
• Use industry connections and own community and networks to maximize the film's exposure, secure festival screenings, and facilitate wider distribution opportunities.
• Participate in quality checks conducted by the post-production team to provide feedback and ensure the film meets the desired standards, - including editing, sound design, and visual effects.
• Contribute to the development of a comprehensive marketing and promotional plan to generate buzz and excitement around ''Plant Baby.''
• Collaborate with the production team to explore potential distribution and monetization avenues beyond festivals.

Requirements (Optional) - Nice to have:
• Experience in film distribution and post-production production, preferably with a focus on independent and festival films.
• Familiarity with festival distribution strategies and the ability to navigate the festival circuit.
• Strong industry connections and a proven track record of successfully promoting and distributing films with festival presence and broad exposure.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with industry professionals and secure distribution opportunities.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to working with creative teams, demonstrating the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance.
• Required: Strong communication skills, creativity, and an open-minded attitude.
