Before The Festival
Administrative Assistant - Assist the director and executive director in day-to-day tasks in office, answering questions over the phone and via email, and correspond with filmmakers. Volunteers will learn about the administrative duties needed to run a film festival.
Social Media Manager - Manage all social media accounts for the Festival, as well as regulate posts on festival-specific websites, create original copy for posts, and coordinate cross-promotional posts with partners.
Graphic Designer - Create original designs using the Festival logo to be featured on all Festival communication, including website, social media, digital and print ads.
Animator - Create original content, working closely with our graphic designers, as promotional material for the Festival.
Video Editor - Edit footage gathered from interviews with filmmakers, recorded panels and talks, and event coverage. Edited videos will be featured on the Festival's YouTube channel and used for promotional purposes.
Marketing Assistant - Assist in all marketing and promotional aspects before the 2019 Festival. Volunteers will be included in correspondence between partners and sponsors.
During The Festival
Host - You are the first impression our guests have of the Festival by welcoming attendees and filmmakers, answering questions about the events taking place at the venue, and directing guests to the theater.
Theater Operations - Sales and distribution of tickets, including collecting cash, running credit cards, and end-of-shift reporting. Will be familiar with venues and films to answer questions from movie-goers - will be trained on our ticketing software. Assist in Festival theaters/venues collecting tickets, ushering as needed, and answering any questions guests may have about the screening time or location. At times Theater assistants are called upon to welcome guests at the beginning of the screening or host Q&A's after the screening.
Event Production - Assist with the set-up, execution, and breakdown of events, receptions, and more.
Projectionist - Projecting the film on screen, working closely with the theater assistant to ensure screenings run on schedule as well as checking equipment before screenings.
Filmmaker and Patron Hospitality - Provide concierge services for filmmakers and their guests as well as work closely with VIP Pass Holders to ensure they have an incredible festival experience!
