Seeking feature documentary film editor for a very unique international project targeting a mainstream audience. We have 4TB+ of footage which was captured around the world over the past 3 years, including a plethora of b-roll and sit-down interviews (often with a two-camera setup). The ideal candidate would be willing to spend 1 to 2 months in Tokyo, Japan (where client is located). Having the ability to delve into the footage with client present will ensure a deep understanding of the project. Rate is dependent on experience. This is a dream opportunity for the right person!
• Feature length documentary editing experience
• Proven track record of success, with references
• Humanistic documentary interest
• Passion for social change storytelling
• Willingness to be politically neutral
• Open minded
• Availability to work full time / prepared to commit to an extended project
• Interest in living in Japan (Tokyo)
• Excited to review over 4TB of 4K footage (over 100 hrs, covering 100s of interviews)
• Strong editorial/storytelling sense
• Team player, willing to work closely with client
• Immediately availability preferred, flexibility can be discussed for the right candidate
• Comfortable acting as a story producer as well
• Multilingual is a bonus
