How do I hire an Executive Assistant? A Film/TV Production company is seeking a full-time executive assistant for its COO/CFO, to start in January. The position is open immediately on a consulting 1099 basis so that we may have a trial period with a hire as we need to bring someone on ASAP. Must have at least one year of industry experience working on a desk at an agency, management company, or production company. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, reliable, hard-working and a strong multi-tasker, with excellent communication skills and an eagerness to learn everything there is to know about the business of making films and tv. Must be able to deal with a heavy workload, including phones, scheduling, travel, office management, and development tasks. Good command of excel and power point a huge plus. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning a lot about all aspects of the film/tv business and getting to play a role in a lot of aspects of the business of film/tv in an extremely positive and friendly environment. There will be creative functions of this job, like reading scripts and giving script feedback but the focus of this job is the operations of running a successful company. The candidate must be one who is truly desirous of working on and learning about the business side of this industry. Creatives should absolutely apply.
