DESCRIPTION:
Assistant, Full-time
Beverly Hills, CA (Hybrid)
About you:
• Sparring any calamities in the world, you pride yourself in being punctual, reliable, make it to work on time, have great follow-up and a sense of urgency.
• You have experience working on an incredibly busy desk.
• You are flexible and understand that you might have to re-schedule that 10:00 am meeting 3 times over.
• You have a knack for acting in a sequential fashion - priorities come first. If you're not sure what they are, you don't shy away from asking.
• You're addicted to reading, binging TV shows, movies, animation, sci-fi, even rom-coms; your tastes run the gamut, and then you like to read some more.
• You have a genuine interest in compelling storytelling and are eager to learn from some of the best in the biz.
On a given day your work might include:
• Scheduling meetings, and then re-scheduling meetings!
• Rolling calls (this is showbusiness after all) and tracking expenses for the executive that you are supporting.
• Updating development grids, reading logs, meetings trackers and emailing.
• Corresponding with 3rd parties regarding development and production projects.
• You get to participate in creative calls, monitor editorial and production progress (great note-taking is imperative!).
• Serve as an active member of the development team, by reviewing pitches to networks and assessing their viability as a series.
• Field casting breakdowns and relay selections to casting directors.
• Watch all cuts of episodes for projects in production and give notes on cuts, trailers, promo materials, scripts, casting choices.
Your background and experience:
• B.A/B.S Degree
• At least 1-2 years in a studio, production company or agency environment (REQUIRED)
