DP - Documentary

This is a Freelance Job

West Palm Beach, FL location, one half day shoot October 24, 25 or 27, 2026. We are looking for a skilled videographer/filmmaker to film an elderly Jewish holocaust child survivor for an upcoming self-funded documentary project about her and her family who fled Paris and hid in plain sight near Grenoble, France. This shoot will fill in gaps and address new points rather than involve telling the whole story, which has already been done (more than once) The ideal candidate should have experience in documentary filmmaking, strong technical skills in video recording, and the ability to capture high-quality sound (the latter is crucial). You will need to bring your own equipment (camera, mic, lighting) although an iPhone with a microphone will be considered (at a lower pay rate). You will be responsible for setting up the equipment and ensuring that the interviewee (my mother) is comfortable during the shoot. I will direct. A collaborative spirit and creativity and variety in framing shots will be highly valued. Please provide examples of previous work that showcases your experience in filming interviews and B-roll.
