Large television production company based in Los Angeles is seeking a proactive, hands-on Director of Facilities / Operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
o Manage facilities, ensuring facility is clean and clutter-free.
o Manage small office services staff.
o Build effective relationships with key management staff to learn about operational needs before they are logged as trouble tickets.
o Track office space use and enforce SOP for LA facility using floor plans and various systems. Partner with HR, IT, and Post Production to help support internal office moves and expansions.
o Manage and maintain the storage facilities (including inventories) for archiving Accounting, HR and Production files, as well as legacy media. Manage inventory controls for office, kitchen, and bathrooms.
o Maintain relationships with the landlord, and building staff as the primary liaison. Monitor building systems and troubleshoot problems with building management. Manage cleaning crew, ensuring quality of service.
o Maintain safety protocol and evacuation procedures for the facility as required by building management and the company. Maintain security/building access control database.
o Manage and coordinate parking passes and access for staff. Maintain and schedule use of any company-owned vehicles.
o Manage routine maintenance for equipment and systems. Schedule, coordinate, and verify quality of repairs as needed.
o Manage shipping vendors, enforcing shipping and receiving SOP. Liaise with building staff to facilitate deliveries and shipments.
o Manage special projects as directed by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
o Experience with operations management, facilities management, project management, data management, and vendor management.
o 5+ year in a production environment.
o Proactive, self-starter that is able to manage and operate effectively with little supervision.
o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and handle each request with discretion, tact and diplomacy at all times.
o Patience, tolerance and resilience are key skills.
o Ability to help evolve the company's operational procedures and implement improved processes.
COMPENSATION: range of $110k - $130k plus bonus, depending upon skills and experience
