Full Time Job
Boutique music studio seeking a full-time Music Administration Coordinator to manage and support the scoring administrative process from start to finish, as well as provide general assistance to the composer and all levels of staff. They will hold a working knowledge of all current projects the company is a part of and will act as a guide between coordinating the changing schedules of multiple overlapping projects.
DAILY TASKS INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Scheduling and coordinating recording sessions for large and small ensembles both locally and internationally
- Budgeting for all post-production music costs on a per-project basis
- Onboarding and negotiating with contractors, engineers, orchestrators, copyists, music editors, musicians, and recording studios
- Reading/Analyzing contracts
- Generate scoring schedules/deadlines based on post-production schedules shared with the company by clients
- Managing document distribution and organization between clients and employees
- Reviewing and approving invoices on a per-project basis
- Coordinating the creation of cue sheets on a per-project basis
- Acting as a liaison between the composer and clients, including contracting services, agencies, orchestras, recording studios, and
post-production companies
- Task delegation between departments (Tech, admin, writing, interns)
- Document archiving and large-scale calendar/schedule management
- Working directly with and guiding the Music Administration Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Self-motivated
- Proactive and responsible
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills
- General understanding of post-production music pipeline for film/television/video games
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 2+ years experience in music or entertainment business administration
- Must be available full-time
- Must have your own computer
- Working knowledge of Google Office programs including: Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Contacts, and Drive
OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Soundtrack label experience
- Knowledge of SAG and AFM contracting guidelines and practices
Must be located in Los Angeles, however, we do offer a work-from-home/hybrid situation.
