Leading NYC Event Entertainment Production Company is seeking a new Head of Production/Director of A/V Operations. Full time position with benefits available.
Ideal Candidate:
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the Audio Visual Industry. Particularly as it relates to live sound production.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the special events field with familiarity of NYC venues that specialize in private events. (Hotels, Private Event Spaces, Restaurants, Studios, Lofts, etc.)
• An expert in Sound/Audio Engineering. (Live Mixing).
• Ability to interact effectively with technical crews for detailed and specialized technical discussions, as well as directly with clients for higher level conversations.
o Must be able to exhibit discretion and professionalism with high profile clientele
o Must be hospitable, outgoing, and welcoming personality.
• Candidate will be responsible for stage plots and riders for a full roster of acts.
• Should be able to recruit and staff events with other technical specialists, (audio engineers, stage hands, roadies/drivers, video crews, lighting designers and lighting programmers, etc.)
• Can recognize and HELP solve issues related to all technical aspects of a special event, from arrival/load-in, staffing, floor-plans, flow/layout, electrical requirements, sound distribution, lighting design, staging and sets, fabrication, AND just about every other facet of an event or party.
• Highly organized and efficient. Must be able to plan ahead, anticipate potential problems on upcoming events, AND work in a collaborative atmosphere with multiple producers at once.
• Must be a Multi-tasking ROCK STAR. Prioritizing tasks will be a priority. (see what we did there?)
• Knowledge of gear should be second nature. Staying on the cutting edge of what new gear is coming out and how it can help our company be more efficient or successful.
• Ability to mix audio in post-production.
Applicant must be available to work extensive hours, both during the week, at night AND on weekends. This position is a HANDS ON job. Applicant must be willing and able to load/unload heavy gear for set-up/strike of A/V equipment.
MUST have a valid driver's license and CLEAN record.
