Seeking a visionary director for hybrid live/filmed version of folk-rock musical, Lizard Boy. Created for the stage by Justin Huertas and Brandon Ivie, Lizardboy had a successful initial run at Diversionary Theater in San Diego and is in development for a world tour in 2022.
This summer, they will be mounting a digital production that will stream to thousands of theaters around the country. We're in need of a director to guide that recording, as well as adapt elements of the stage show for film.
The final version of this recording will screen at Edinburgh in 2022.
Prep will begin remotely this spring, with one week of production in June onsite at a theater in Hartford, CT. Post will also be done remotely, with a target delivery for August 1. Exclusivity for production window only.
The directing fee will be commensurate with the budget, rate is negotiable. Travel/housing/per diem will be covered for production. All gear will be provided by producers, no rentals required. Should that change, any and all gear rental fees will be covered on top of directing fee.
Employer will only allow resumes sent as an attachment.
