Overview:
We are a management company and record label, overseeing a large roster of artists across many genres with platinum-selling records. We are looking to hire a Director, Creative Sync. This individual will work to secure masters in film, TV, video games, commercials, advertising, and soundtracks, in order to bring in licensing revenue as well as promote artists to the benefit of the overall company, including other marketing opportunities related to sync.
Responsibilities:
• Meet with film & TV studios and music supervision community for purposes of recommending music, marketing and securing synchronization licensing placements for our artists
• Research weekly film, TV and radio production schedules, contacts and meets the producers, directors, agents, managers and agencies in order to offer recordings from our roster appropriate for their productions.
• Coordinate with our marketing department to gather artist and marketing campaign information and attend general marketing and related artist-specific planning meetings.
• Meet with artists and artist management to update them on film and TV projects and assists in pitching them into a specific film and/or TV property.
• Organize artist showcases for our artists at film and TV studios and 3rd party venues.
• Create artist one-sheets (for sync pitching purposes)
• Create and maintain archive of our catalogs and how they should be categorized by genre, style, emotion, etc for film/trailer/TV placements.
• Oversee the administrative upkeep related to the catalog of our artists, writers, and producers.
• Pay music publishers the corresponding mechanical and other license advances, fees, and/or other royalties in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of music licensing
• A minimum of two (2) years of responsible experience creating, developing and maintaining significant relationships in the film & TV music community specifically within music publishing, record label, film or TV production company or music supervision.
• Ability to create and maintain relationships with customers; demonstrates a high level of creativity in their music recommendations, projects etc.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Possess a strong work ethic, strong organization skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to adhere to multiple deadlines and execute assigned tasks.
• Consistently take initiative; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• The use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are absolutely required.
