This is a Full Time Job
Small but robust production company seeks a hardworking and motivated team member to support the development, sales, and production of Unscripted & Sports Television concepts. This multi-faceted role presents the opportunity for considerable growth while working under a veteran documentary filmmaker with a strong reputation, several projects in production, and many more in the pipeline. Previous experience at a production company is not required, so long as the candidate expresses a strong passion for the Unscripted TV business, a working knowledge of the industry, and a perpetual desire to broaden their horizons on a daily basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
* Demonstrated writing skills, beyond simple composition of emails. This person will be contributing to pitch decks, creative briefs, etc.
* Passion for immersive research - particularly on topics relating to sports, social issues, and complex current events.
* A regular consumer of premium unscripted television, and highly interested in keeping up with industry trends.
* Has at least a basic knowledge of the production & post-production process.
* Ability to design pitch decks, along with knowledge of design concepts, would be very helpful.
* Social media fluency as it pertains to business opportunities and promoting the production company on myriad platforms.
* Scheduling and other administrative duties as needed.
* Highly organized and demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Can work independently without supervision.
* Lastly, must possess fearlessness without arrogance. A fine line here, but an important one.
QUALIFICATIONS
* BA Degree or equivalent work history.
* 1+ years experience in the entertainment industry.
* Desire to work in Nonfiction Television/Film long-term.
* Experience shooting and/or editing video (at a high level) is a major plus.
* Design skills (InDesign, etc.) are a major plus.
