Description: Academy Award winning film production company is looking for a development assistant/YA Reader to support the VP of Development & Production. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about reading, film, and the young adult genre. Candidates must be organized, extremely detail-oriented, excellent written and verbal communicators, able to work well independently, and possess a strong ability to multi-task. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong desire learn about the development process.
In this role, you will manage submissions, maintain development grids, track projects, read material (both scripts and books), provide notes on active projects, correspond with literary agents, research IP, oversee the intern program, and other administrative duties. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the world of development in a hands-on role.
Qualifications:
- Passionate Reader (especially YA/Romance)
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Quick Learner
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Experience using MS Office, GSuite, Adobe, FilmTrack, and PublishersMarketplace preferred.
