Dailies Operator

This is a Part Time Job

We are a digital media operation, working with a major client to create editorial and streaming media for use in post-production.

This is an intermediate-level position, and the ideal candidate understands that no job is too little, has a good attitude along with strong attention to detail. We are looking to add a member to our team who learns quickly and can adapt to shifting procedures and responsibilities.

The work is performed overnight, generally between 10 PM and 6 AM PST, with varying start times based on production schedules.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Manage the conversion of camera original media to editorial dailies using software like, MTI Cortex, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Media Encoder and other tools
• Communicate frequently with administrative, post-production and editorial teams to ensure the quality of all requests and deliveries
• Address issues either technical or deadline related, collaborate with operational departments towards a timely resolution
• Work with Management team to define and document workflow processes on an ongoing basis
• Oversee and execute the movement of dailies media to appropriate location for subsequent processing / handling, including ingesting assets into SAN/NAS, as well as review and approval systems

Qualifications:

• Understanding of color workflows, including LUTs, CDLs and RAW/Debayering
• Knowledge of basic Non-Linear Editing functions
• Proficient and comfortable with both PC and MAC operating systems
• Understands and can identify common computer connectors (USB, SAS, Thunderbolt)
