Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives, helping to integrate ongoing research into story development
- Identify and develop projects and search for valuable IP (books, comics, graphic novels, podcasts, etc)
- Support VPs in the day to day development of the company's slate of feature films
- Provide creative feedback in pitches, story sessions, and screenings
- Maintain relationships with writers, agents and industry executives, as well as, in other relevant creative communities, to scout emerging & diverse writing talent
- Create and maintain lists, including internal tracking and development lists, talent pipeline, and benchmark competitive data analytics
- Maintain comprehensive and well-organized writer database covering samples, credits, script notes, meeting notes, representation, and other relevant information
Experience & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of story structure and development process
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Deep industry contracts to agents/writers, talent, agents and scouts
- Strong development history and proven talent for identifying unique materials
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in a Creative Executive role or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the film industry at a studio, agency, or film production company
