This is a Part Time Job
This is a Remote/Online position and also a Remote/Online (Zoom) interview. The successful candidate will be hired on a contract basis. Hours will vary; and quick response is optimal.
Corporate Paralegal
Primary duties of a corporate paralegal in our entertainment law firm involve working under the supervision of an attorney representing business clients. Paralegals in this practice handle the following:
Corporations:
- Has Experience and Knowledge on how to electronically (and/or paper by mail):
• Form a corporation
• Obtain an EIN
• File a Statement of Information
• Draft Bylaws
• Draft the Resignation of Incorporator and First Minutes
• Draft subsequent years and special minutes
- Has worked on Mergers and Acquisition
- Has dissolved corporations
Limited Liability Companies:
- Has experience and Knowledge on how to:
• Form a limited liability company
• Obtain an EIN
• File a Statement of Information
• Draft an Operating Agreement
• Dissolve an LLC
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Paralegal Certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
• 1 year of direct paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate or transactional setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Maturity to accept correction and interact professionally with all staff members.
• Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and Adobe.
• Strong familiarity with standard contractual provisions.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects on deadline.
• Ability to collaborate on projects with multiple staff members.
