This is a Full Time Job
Academy Award winning independent film production and sales company is seeking a contract coordinator / paralegal.
Primary responsibilities include:
• reviewing the legal documentation supplied by producers and confirming that all documentation meets delivery requirements, and delivering legal documentation for theatrical motion pictures to both international and domestic distributors.
• The job also entails creating legal delivery documents for in house productions (CoT, Paid Ads, Billing Block, Music Licenses, etc).
• Be familiar with basic legal terms, conditions, language as well as customary documents such as Chain of Title, insurance, music licenses, copyright documents and talent agreements.
• Other requirements include supporting legal and business affairs personnel with various projects and tasks.
• The ideal candidate is organized, pro-active, meticulous with details, and has at least 5 years' experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF programs. Ability to review and deliver with little to no supervision is a must. Notary Public Registration and knowledge of FilmTrack are preferred but not required.
• This is an in-office position; no working from home or hybrid work situations.
