An exciting entertainment company is seeking a full-time Communications Coordinator/Executive Assistant who will be responsible for providing support for the VP of Production & Creative Director and the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will exercise discretion and independent judgment, as well as the ability to interface with creative team and leaders. The ideal candidate should also have a passion Africa and African Diaspora culture and communities.
The position requires strong technical skills as well as flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels inside and outside of the organization. As this role will support multiple people and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
-Screen incoming calls in a timely professional manner and route accordingly.
-Prepare correspondence for executives and route accordingly.
-Light phone coverage, to handle in a professional manner and route accordingly.
-Research industry related items for presentations and pitches.
-Manage email activity, calendar appointments, meetings and expense reporting for EVP and VP.
-Coordinate and manage travel schedules.
-Assist with light personal matters.
-Assist with execution of projects or specific stages of projects as assigned; track progress and results when necessary.
-Research, Edit, Development and writing.
- Draft power point presentations,
- Assist with PR events and light managing of Social Media platforms
-Script coverage.
- Curate Content for Studios and SVOD Platforms
-Additional ad-hoc and administrative projects as assigned.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Minimum of 1-3 years' experience assisting a senior level entertainment professional or producing related experience. Knowledge of the film/television industry and direct industry experience preferred. Experience handling multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, be highly organized, and have the ability to work with all levels of management.
