Business & Legal Affairs Coordinator
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA (In-Person)
SUMMARY:
We're a leading company in unscripted television seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business & Legal Affairs Coordinator to support our legal and business affairs team. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a legal, business affairs, or production environment who's looking to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
We're looking for someone who thrives on structure, values discretion, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Business & Legal Affairs Coordinator will work closely with the legal team and cross-functional departments to support day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings (Zoom and in-person), including with talent reps, networks, and production teams
• Tracking contracts, deal memos, option/pickup dates, and key legal terms across multiple active projects
• Preparing, organizing, and routing documents via DocuSign/Adobe Sign and maintaining contract records
• Maintaining and updating legal grids, calendars, rights logs, and deliverables trackers
• Supporting legal document processes, including NDAs, appearance releases, location agreements, and other production-related paperwork
• Assisting with expense reports, document filing, and general administrative support
• Helping to develop more efficient workflows and improve team systems for document tracking and legal operations
• Manage call scheduling and call handling when needed
• Collaborate with internal departments and being a strong team player willing to support other teams as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-4 years of experience in a coordinator or assistant role in legal, business affairs, or unscripted production
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and legal administrative processes
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and problem-solve independently
• Detail-oriented and dependable, with a commitment to follow-through
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Sign/DocuSign
• Familiarity with unscripted television and entertainment law is a plus
• Must be available to work in-person at our Sherman Oaks office and have reliable transportation
POSITION DETAILS:
Full-time, in-person role
Salary commensurate with experience
Salary/Benefits
$59,000.00
- 65,000.00
per year
