Awards Publicity Account Executive

Public relations agency is seeking a Junior Account Executive / Account Executive of Awards Publicity, based on experience level. The role is hybrid (in-person office and remote).

We are looking to hire a full-time Junior Account Executive / Account Executive interested in pursuing a career in publicity. Primary responsibilities include pitching press, booking screenings, handling screening invitations and RSVP and attendee lists, managing press clippings, covering screenings and events, and actively assisting a team that works on a variety of awards campaigns

The ideal candidate will be hard-working, highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with excellent phone and email manner. The candidate should have an interest in and knowledge of the film and television landscape. The ideal candidate wants to be part of a fun, interactive environment for years to come and is interested in PR as a long-term career.

Requirements:
• Minimum one year of publicity experience
• Proficient in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and Outlook
• College degree from an accredited university

Qualifications:
• Comprehensive understanding of pop culture and entertainment landscape
• Strong writing and research skills
• Ability to multitask, juggle multiple deadlines, and prioritize in a very fast-paced environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented and well-organized
• Ability to devise unique pitch angles, and brainstorm out-of-the-box ideas for campaigns
• Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently when needed without constant oversight
• Availability to cover events (nights and weekends) such as screenings, premieres, interviews, etc.
• Experience working with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Media Databases (Cision), FileMaker Pro, etc.
