Position Title: Audio Mixer
Location: Burbank, CA 91505
Position Description
We're looking for knowledgeable, ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who have at least 3 years of experience mixing On-Air broadcast spots for theatrical Studio releases or Network On-Air Promos. If you are ready and have the ability to fit right in to be part of a diverse and vastly experienced team of mixers and you have the experience, passion and dedication then we want to hear from you. A love of movies is just a bonus as you could be working on some of the biggest movies in Hollywood.
You are:
• An experienced Mixer: you've been in the industry a minimum of 3-5 years, mixing for theatrical marketing or network Promos; you have the ability to troubleshoot your way out of sticky technical situations and understand what it takes to keep your clients happy.
• Resourceful: your ability to push the pile of work across the finish line in a timely or even unrealistic timeframe is a regular occurrence for you and yet somehow you still enjoy every minute of it.
• Team-focused: you understand you are part of very experienced team of talented individuals that work together like a well-oiled machine; you can fit right in to an existing workflow while continuing to think of ways to help improve the process to make the team better, stronger and faster.
• Skilled: you have the ability to pick up new technology faster than anyone you know and can't wait to learn more; you have experience on multiple Audio platforms.
• Motivated: you don't wait to be told what to do next; you are already busy working on the next project because you are tuned-in to what is happening around you and take advantage of your time.
• Driven: when the work seems like it is a mountain to climb you put your head down, power through, and never let them see you sweat.
You will:
• Use your knowledge of industry standard audio tools to mix theatrical studio marketing television spots. Be ready to learn the Fairlight EVO system and take on that challenge at full speed without looking back.
• Maintain communication between video, sound, and supervisors on all projects.
• Follow all department guidelines in the process of mixing spots to make sure your work blends seamlessly with the rest of your teammates.
• Be open with feedback and welcome criticism of your own work. It is not your mix, it is the clients.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in related field of study or equivalent years of experience is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a professional post production studio or broadcast / cable network.
• Experience in Fairlight EVO system or Pro Tools.
