The Associate Director reports to the Executive Producer, and Chief Programming Officer for several public media documentaries. The AD works to develop projects and supervise or carry out production and post-production activities associated with specials, documentaries, and series for national broadcast.
The Associate Director will maximize the positive impact of the department within the public broadcasting community and audience, and to expand that impact to new audiences through the creation and delivery of innovative and effective initiatives and partnerships.
The Associate Director assists in the development and implementation of national programming projects from concept to development. This includes writing fundraising materials; PowerPoint presentations; grids and trackers; high-level client/sponsor relations and donor management; and coordination with other offices and project partners.
The Associate Director supports departmental goals and coordinates project activities across departments, as well as works closely with the Executive Producer to pro-actively seek and develop projects for team portfolio.
