Job Summary: Associate Attorney to handle a wide array of responsibilities related to development, production, financing and distribution of theatrical motion pictures for a high-volume boutique firm that represents preeminent independent production, finance and distribution companies.
Experience: Ideal candidate has background in entertainment related transactional work, including 3-4 years in a legal/business affairs role at an agency or studio, or a finance/corporate associate at a law firm.
Law Degree/License Required. License to practice law in California is required.
Job Details: Draft, review and negotiate a large variety of agreements, including equity and production loan finance documentation, corporate formation documentation, rights acquisition, talent agreements (actor, writer, director and producer), key below-the-line agreements, production services agreements, VFX vendors, composers, location and equipment agreements.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to juggle multiple, constantly changing, high-priority tasks
• Strong drafting, organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat and Internet research
Salary: Commensurate with experience
