This is a Full Time Job
Boutique NYC entertainment law firm, representing actors, directors, and writers, seeking a full-time assistant to help with both personal and professional work.
Previous entertainment industry experience and familiarity with NY and LA agents, managers, and other industry professionals is a plus but not mandatory. Applicants should be bright and motivated to work in the entertainment industry.
Position is one of the first points of contact for the firm and assistants will be expected to speak with clients, agents, and other professionals. Given this, the ideal candidate needs to be warm, outgoing, and have a good sense of humor while still maintaining a professional nature on the phone and in person. Candidate must also be detail-oriented, organized, and able to adapt with ease to a hectic day with shifting priorities.
The position is both personal and administrative - e.g., managing the calendar, drafting correspondence, rolling calls, setting personal and work appointments, travel, doctor's appointments, etc. There is a significant opportunity to build your own contacts and relationships. We ask for a two-year commitment and while we hope that you will stay, if you are great and want to move on, we will support your search for a next step-up job.
The work environment is casual, and friendly and rewards hard work both in terms of compensation and assistance in pursuing any other industry goals.
Our firm embraces and celebrates equal opportunity, and is committed to building a team that is as diverse as the talent we represent. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply and do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.
