Boutique Entertainment Law Firm seeks a full-time, motivated, hardworking assistant to the managing partner. We deal with both transactional and litigation entertainment matters. The job provides exciting opportunity for growth, allowing for exposure to the nuts and bolts of the Film, TV and New Media industries from a legal lens. Past assistants have gone on to become talent agents, executives, and lawyers. The position offers opportunities to attend events such as the Sundance Film Festival and various other film and comedy festivals.
Duties Include: Answering Phones/Rolling Calls, maintaining call sheets, maintaining Office Supplies, Scheduling Meetings/Maintaining the office calendar, Arranging Travel, Drafting Memos and Correspondence, Proofreading Legal Documents, Reviewing and Revising Documents, Keeping Track of Ongoing Transactional and Litigation Matters, Performing Background Research on Industry & Prospective Clients, Participating in Firm/Client Meetings, running errands, and performing various other administrative tasks that may arise. Experience in these areas is strongly preferred but not required. Strong ''customer relation'' skills and good telephone and other interpersonal skills are a must.
Candidates must be excellent multi-taskers, natural self-starters, and great communicators. Ideal candidates will also be extremely organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. A Positive attitude is also a must for this role.
Starting pay is $15.00/hour plus $22.50/hour for overtime. Average work week is 50 hours.
