ASSISTANT TO EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/DIRECTOR (New York)
An executive producer/director on a scripted series currently shooting in New York needs an S-tier assistant. He is EP on the full season and directing half of it, so the role is on set while the principal is shooting, with an equal mix of heavy admin work and personal assistant tasks. It keeps you at your laptop and phone: consistently updating his calendar, staying on top of every email coming in, taking notes in creative and production meetings, keeping the principal apprised of important materials, and handling the personal side, from travel and meals to making sure a package gets where it needs to go. The range of tasks can vary: he might need you to go pick up a package or make a reservation. Or you might be needed to join a location scout to snap photos for him while he's shooting on set. Tasks vary because the goal is to make sure this busy director/ep can focus on the task at hand.
The right person is fast, discreet, and solution-oriented, someone who arrives with an answer rather than a problem. Fluency with Google Workspace and AI tools like Claude and Otter goes a long way, as does being a pro at building grids and spreadsheets. Most important is the understanding that in production, every minute of the day matters.
This person will report to the principal and the principal's Executive Assistant/Director of Development, who is based in Los Angeles.
New York local hire. Immediate start through approximately mid-November.
Salary/Benefits
$23/hour (non-union), with a 12-hour daily guarantee and overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours.
Hired and paid through production.
