An Assistant to the Artist Manager & Artist Coordinator is a key role within the artist management team. This role is exciting since it's at the center of what's happening in a client's universe. You will assist the artist management team to implement what's happening today and what's going to happen tomorrow, for multiple campaigns around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating all day-to-day operations for the artist and managers including:
- Scheduling and schedule coordination for day-to-day and promotional activities
- Travel and accommodation
- Development & implementation of marketing strategies
- Promotional events & artist appearances
- Updating and maintaining artist and artist manager schedules
- Strategizing socials content, focusing on frequency, messaging, and implementation
- Managing the flow of Approvals throughout all business channels including merchandise, marketing, advertising, social media, engagements, assisting artist manager on getting them from artist when needed
- Liaising with artist's business team - Legal, Accounting, Agency, Press, Record Label.
- Facilitating the creation, maintenance, and execution of all timelines.
- Managing and distributing artist promotional schedules to all stakeholders.
- Strategizing, coordinating, creating, and executing all marketing activities across all departments for the world.
- Working with other team members to coordinate effective promotions and take advantage of related promotional inventory.
- Coordinating recording & writing sessions, writers, producers, mastering engineers, videos, photoshoots, travel, budgeting, agreements, etc.
- Assist artist manager on all campaigns for the client including album releases, tour announcements, special events, etc.
- Gathering artist data to help the company market the products and image of the company's clients.
- Studying and analyzing consumer demographics, preferences, and buying habits, among others.
- Coordinating media inquiries, fan requests, and donation requests.
- Interfacing with all marketing departments to ensure all approved marketing plans are being executed timely.
- Studying and analyzing techniques to appeal to consumers of different backgrounds to increase growth and social media engagement for the clients.
- Building and maintaining relationships with all partners including streaming services, radio (satellite), booking agents, other managers, producers, writers, labels, etc.
- Proof reading and correcting all suggested marketing copy on behalf of the artist i.e.: Press releases, Advertisements, Album Artwork, etc.
- Keeping and distributing regular meeting minutes and Artist campaign status updates.
- Follow current and emerging music industry trends & development for the artist & company.
- Assist artist managers with any required administrative duties.
- Monitoring all daily business & correspondence.
Qualities of a successful Assistant to the Artist Manager & Artist Coordinator:
- Being a self-starter / proactive
- Has strong client-facing skills
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task various projects & responsibilities
- Has the ability to deliver results under pressure & tight timelines
- Has a demanding personality with the ability to hold others accountable
- Willingness to work long hours, attend late night/weekend shows & travel globally
- Has excellent time management, prioritization and follow up skills
- Has a desire to go above and beyond; always thinking outside of the box and looking at the bigger picture
- Is curious, decisive, and has a willingness to learn and adapt
