Job Description
The role will work directly with the founder on day to day management of our talents' businesses, serving as a crucial liaison between talents and clients. This may include strategizing and leading outgoing pitches, fielding incoming requests, negotiations, and/or project management and execution. The Assistant Talent Manager will work across most, if not all, of the talent on our roster in a supporting role to the founder, but may also have a dedicated list of talent for which he/she is primarily responsible, but supported by the founder. The Assistant Talent Manager should have the desire to work in a start up environment where there is a obligation to contribute whatever necessary, but also a significant opportunity for growth.
Skills
- Attention to detail as it relates to project management and execution; ensuring that obligations are met according to exact deliverables and timelines
- Excellent record keeping as it applies to the above
- Self starting, and comfortable conducting business by email, phone, and/or in person when necessary
- Familiarity with basic deal structures including rates, time commitments, services, and usage
- Outgoing and polite disposition, but a willingness and ability to be firm when necessary
- Discretion
Experience
- One to three years at another agency in a management or representation field (could include traditional talent agencies, management agencies, modeling agencies, photographer/stylist agencies, blogger/influencer agencies); those currently in training, assistant, or junior level positions
- Experience working day to day with both talent and clients in a forward facing manner
- Experience providing executive assistant services to more senior members of a team and/or talent when necessary (phone call sheet, calendar, travel arrangements)
- Existing relationships with public relations and/or marketing teams at agencies and/or brands within various industries is a plus, but not required
