Assistant Editor

We're looking for a highly skilled Assistant Editor who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative post-production environment. The ideal candidate is technically sharp, calm under pressure, and enjoys supporting creative teams to deliver world-class content.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain proper Avid project structures for multiple editorial teams

Ingest, group, and sync footage with precision and speed

Manage and organize media across shared storage and archive systems (TIGER, LTO, etc.)

Create keys and perform green screen composite prep work in After Effects

Handle transcoding, exports, and deliverables for multiple platforms

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support to editors and producers

Maintain clear communication with 5+ editors simultaneously

Oversee archiving and media backups, ensuring data integrity and accessibility

Contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented post environment

Requirements

Expert-level Avid knowledge (grouping, syncing, media management, and project setup)

Proficiency in After Effects, especially keying and compositing prep

Familiarity with TIGER, BORIS, and LTO workflows

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Able to handle high-volume projects and work 12-hour days when needed

Positive attitude and a genuine passion for post-production

Bonus Skills

Experience with DaVinci Resolve or other finishing tools

Familiarity with broadcast and digital deliverable specs

Prior experience supporting large editorial teams or multi-show pipelines
