Full Time Job
Award-winning documentary filmmaker in Burbank is looking for someone versatile who can wear two hats: Assistant Editor and Executive Assistant.
As our Assistant Editor, you'll need rock-solid editorial skills in Premiere Pro and media conversion skills in Adobe Media Encoder and Resolve. If you have After Effects and Photoshop skills, even better.
As our Executive Assistant, you'll use MS Word and Excel for documents and reports. You'll need to write clear, well punctuated correspondence, be highly organized and detail oriented. You will be in charge of keeping a small but busy documentary production office running efficiently.
Our documentaries are primarily about cinema. Our clients include Hollywood's biggest movie studios and networks, and our interviewees are often A-list movie stars and directors, so you'll need to be comfortable around celebrities, with a personality that puts everyone at ease.
During some phases of production, you'll create transcripts of our on-camera interviews. You must be able to work independently, as your filmmaker boss is occasionally out of town shooting on location, leaving you to run the production office alone. When he's shooting in town, you'll be on the set helping out as needed.
Hours are 9 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is extremely rare.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Please submit your resume (with two references), salary requirements and cover letter.
