Award winning production company is currently seeking an Archival Producer to join its archival department (which also includes the Supervising Archival Producer, Associate Archival Producer and Archival Assistant). This is a great opportunity to be a part of a growing team and work across a large slate of feature-length documentaries and episodic docu-series with distribution on a variety of streaming platforms/networks. In this role, you will be running point on specific projects as assigned, collaborating with the rest of the archival department as well as other departments within the company.
Job Duties:
Interfaces with freelance and company creatives, production and post teams serving as Archival Producer for projects as assigned
Has knowledge of all the archive in the applicable project.
Responsible for making sure research is delivered on time and that all third party material has been properly licensed or approved by legal counsel as fair use.
At the time of picture lock, responsible for tracking that each asset has been paid for and their respective masters have been received and incorporated into the cut.
Licensing
Maintains master licensor grid for each project
Reviews/sends order forms for final orders
Coordinates legal redlines with third party vendors/contributors and legal counsel
Fair Use/Clearance
Sends cue sheets with each applicable cut for fair use legal review
Coordinates with edit team and creatives to track that fair use/legal notes are being addressed
Cue sheets
Reviews cue sheets before vendor tallies are started
Builds cost estimates when needed
Calculates vendor tallies when needed
Regularly updates company and producers with cost estimates for each applicable cut
Research
Conducts footage research as needed
Reviews all research before it's delivered
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of work as an Archival Producer or 3+ years in an archival role
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems creatively
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft office required
Knowledge of Google applications (docs, sheets, drive etc.) required
