We are a production company in Downtown LA, that has a need for a long term animator that is able to produce work weekly.
The project we are currently working on is a mixture of a documentary, instructional video series explaining a prominent Dr's Research and theory on how he has discovered that each person has what he has termed an ''imprint'' which has been emotionally passed down and shapes the person's life from beginning to end.
Through our videos (with the help of animation) we need to explain What is the imprint? How does it work? Why do we get it? How do we release ourselves from it?
The visuals we are looking for: minimalist, black & white, characters without race, simple animation, conceptual transitions between ideas.
We have a script available that we are willing to pay to get animated ASAP in order to see your animation skills(try outs) as well as your conceptual thought process and approach to ideas such as dreams, mothers, fetus, growing up, external factors, emotions.
The script:
When she opened the door to their house, her face was glowing with excitement. Although there were some deep concerns in her eyes but the tender sensation of the good news concealed it all. She had been waiting for this day for a long time. She couldn't keep it in anymore though and needed to share it with her husband. He walked out of his office on a serious phone call, distressed. He marched past her without any acknowledgment, screaming at the top of his head. This wasn't the time. She had to wait. At least now she had someone else to turn into. She dropped her bags on the floor, closed her eyes and ran her open palms on her still flat belly. She could almost feel her fetus. What she didn't know at the time though was that her fetus could not only feel her touch, but her love and pain too.
