Powerhouse comedy-production company is on the hunt for our next all-star accountant. We're a six-person team with big company energy, and we're looking for someone who's committed to growing with us as we continue to expand rapidly. Specializing mostly in the comedy special and variety space, we also produce numerous film and tv projects and work closely with buyers such as Netflix, HBO, TBS, Comedy Central, and FX.
Like everyone at the company, you will be an integral asset to each and every project on the slate. Therefore, you must be a detailed oriented team-player who is capable of juggling BOTH production accounting and the company's finances.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accounting
- Responsible for all active projects and development accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations, journal entries, bank activity, cost reporting, payroll
- Responsible for all overhead accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations, journal entries, bank activity, reporting, payroll
- Responsible for all company and project audits
Finance
- Consolidate all accounting from projects as well as company overhead into concise company financial statements
- 1099 reporting at year-end
- Generate all year-end financial reporting statements for tax preparation
Due to the volume of this position, a minimum six years of accounting, finance or production experience is required.
