Part Time Position
An award-winning commercial and feature film Production Company based in Hollywood, CA is seeking an accountant/bookkeeper who is looking for a variable hour position. Responsible for all bookkeeping needs of the company including data entry, full cycle accounts receivable (includes billing and collections), and accounts payable. Prepare revenue reports for producers/filmmakers and for the company, prepare monthly expense reports, track all revenues and expenses, and prepare tax forms.
Responsibilities:
Receive, process, and, when necessary, investigate accounts payable invoices.
Developing full understanding of company's accounting procedures and recommending changes
Code payables for accounts payable.
Communicate (both in verbal and written form) with internal staff, clients, vendors, and banking contacts.
Track company assets.
Deposit accounts receivables into bank accounts.
Assist Business Manager on tax return preparation.
Experience/Skills:
- Experience with QuickBooks and ADP Payroll are strongly preferred.
- High accuracy and diligence inputting data.
- Minimum of two years responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports.
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions.
- Some knowledge of union rules and regulations for payroll accounting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally.
- Must keep client and company matters strictly confidential.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
- Prior experience in entertainment preferred.
- Works well in a team environment with an ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Must have a ''can do'' attitude and be a strong team player willing to do whatever it takes to maintain our standard of excellence.
