Boutique Publishing, Management, and Label Services group seeks part time A&R Research Assistant. We are looking for someone to start one day a week with opportunity for growth.
About Us: One side of the company is a boutique music publishing company focused on the curation of extraordinary talent and hit songs, continuing to break boundaries and exceed expectations. Backed by Mushroom Music through a joint venture partnership, we hold the reputation of taking risks. The management and label division brings innovative strategy to its clients. Specializing in the career development and growth of artists, producers, and songwriters, housing a mix of breakthrough cornerstone artists as well as a focus on the nurturing and strategy of new discoveries.
About You: We are looking for someone who lives, breathes, and sleeps music. This role would be perfect for someone studying to work in the music industry, or a recent grad (however formal education not required). A rock star candidate would be someone who has prior knowledge of how the music industry works, someone who is up to date with music trends, and interested in Pop/RnB/Indie/EDM/Electronic genres. Skills will include someone who is highly organized, Microsoft Office and Google Drive proficient, and familiar with all digital music outlets. The role would start out one day a week (preferably Tuesdays from 10am-6pm) with room for growth. Must be able to work in the United States, and will be able to get to and from our office in West Hollywood.
Responsibilities are (but not limited to): Assisting A&R department on music research needs including research of artists/songwriters/producers/teams in various genres between various playlists and music blogs. Researching current catalog for song pitching opportunities. Creating and maintaining spreadsheets for A&R department. Updating song catalogs.
